My paintings use tar as the primary material along with other contemporary objects and colors to create a unique blend of contemporary textures and expressions.
Tar is the evolutionary product of thousands of years of organic processing the results and residue of early life that was decomposed and obliterated and on which modern life now depends.
This ancient material is combined with the residue of our recent instantaneous communications and data processing technology on which modern life now depends.
Combining the two, embedding the present past with the past, encases the present into the future.
